Aimee began Amaru Confections in Denver, Colorado in 2000. Aimee is a certified chef and top graduate of the Culinary Arts Institute in Denver, Colorado. She also received formal training in the art of chocolate and pastry making from the top chocolatiers in France at the Lenotre’ Institute just outside Paris, France. In addition to her culinary background, Aimee has been a registered nurse for more than 10 years and worked in the critical care unit of a major local hospital.
Chris spent most of his career in the world of Wall Street finance, working as a stock and options trader, financial planner and asset manager. Chris has owned and operated several businesses in his career, including a retail shipping store, and a financial planning firm. He sold his businesses in 2006 to join his wife to work “behind the scenes” in a much more fun and creative endeavor.
