What should I bring with me to a tasting appointment?
We encourage you to have a good idea of what you are interested in having us do. Pictures of cakes, cupcakes, and various desserts that incorporate your ideas are always helpful, as well as a general idea of how many people you are interested in serving; and of course the date you'll need it. If you use social media sites like Pinterest, you are welcome to send us these links, pictures, or attachments via email (use the "email" link found at the bottom of every page to send us attachments) of the ideas you've seen. The more information we have before we visit with you, the better prepared we will be during our visit.

How early should I book you for my event or wedding?
We encourage anyone interested in working with us to try and book their cake or wedding desserts as soon as they are able. We do not like to rush people into making last minute decisions, and we highly encourage our customers to become involved in the cake design early on. However, we cannot guarantee pricing and availability until a deposit is secured. We do fill our calendar each summer with weddings, and work with a limited staff. Due to the complexity of each order we work on, we can only take a handful of weddings and other cakes per week, so the earlier you know if you'd like to work with us, the better.

How can I sample some of your cakes or set up a tasting appointment?
We encourage everyone that would like to meet face to face, to use our online scheduling tool below. This allows you to set up a date and time that is convenient for everyone that would like to come to the tasting. You'll receive a reminder a day beforehand and also the day of your appointment. We have a fairly small tasting room, so we do ask that you limit your party to 4 at the tasting if possible. Tasting and design sessions are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during normal business hours.  We are closed Sundays and Mondays.  Our weekends are devoted to deliveries, we are unable to schedule visits to our bakery on Fridays and Saturdays.

Our face to face meetings are always free.  However, if your event is for something other than a wedding, and/or we will provide a cake for less than 50 guests, we do charge $10 for a sample box of our various flavors. Additional in-person meetings are $25 per 1/2 hour.

Do you need a deposit or full payment in order to help me with my event?
We would be honored to work with you for the confections at your event, and we do ask that all orders are prepaid simply due to the custom nature of our business. We require a $100 non-refundable deposit or 25% of the total, whichever is greater. The remainder is due three weeks before your event date. Orders that are placed within 3 weeks of the event require full payment.

(It's just not that easy to sell a carved motorcycle cake with "Happy Birthday Joe" on it to anyone else!)

What are your hours?
Since we are not a retail location we don't keep normal hours, so it's always best to call ahead, or use our online scheduling tool if you plan on visiting with us. We tend to be at our bakery Tuesday through Friday and out on deliveries all day Saturday. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Is your bakery dedicated to your gluten free desserts?
Yes! We take gluten free very seriously! All of our gluten free items are baked and packaged in our new, dedicated, and completely separate building behind our larger non-gluten free bakery. This virtually eliminates the risk of cross contamination. We also perform random testing on batches of our baked goods for the absence of gluten and we adhere to the stricter standards than the FDA, looking for any product with more than 5 parts per million gluten. Our products are sold at our location as gluten free, and in some outside retail locations at "gluten-less" or "free of gluten" due to the possibility of coming in contact with gluten rich products.
Do you sell any of your baked goods at locations other than your own bakery?
Yes, many of our Premium Cupcakes and Gluten Free Muffins are available at Whole Foods Market Boise, Goldy's Corner Bakery, Dawson Taylor Coffee Shop, St. Alphonsus' Cafeterias in Boise and Nampa, Java, Caffe D'Arte, Huckleberry's Natural Market and Zeppole Bakery. If your office or business is interested in having our products delivered to you for purchase or resale, please contact us.
Can you make a cake that I found a picture of online?
In most cases, we are able to capture the essence of a cake, but not all cakes are created exactly the same way, and our artistry may differ from what you have seen in a picture. We encourage you to send us pictures of cakes you like so we can incorporate various themes to make your creation as unique as your event. We don't make cakes that include copyrighted characters, logos, emblems, etc. But we will work with you to create an even better cake that follows your ideas!

How can I estimate the number of servings I can get from one of your individual or tiered cakes?
We have developed this handy Cake Cutting Guide that gives you a rough idea of how many servings each of our cakes will yield. This is obviously just an estimate based on past experience, but it all comes down the actual person in charge of cutting your cake. If they like big pieces, everyone will get a big piece (and few servings per cake).
How can I pick up my order if you're by appointment only?
Since we are not a retail store, you are welcome to pick up your confection Tuesday through Friday between 9AM and 2PM and Saturday from 10AM to 11AM. We schedule our deliveries between 2PM and 6PM during the week and between 12PM and 7PM on Saturdays. We are closed each Sunday and Monday.

Is there a cost to meet with you?

Our face to face meetings are always free.  However, if your event is for something other than a wedding, and/or we will provide a cake for less than 50 guests, we do charge $10 for a sample box of our various flavors. Additional in-person meetings are $25 per 1/2 hour. A deposit may be required if the confection you are interested in having us create will require multiple meetings, or involve a great deal of time to design and price.

Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer delivery for any order throughout the Treasure Valley, and anywhere within a few hours drive including McCall, Sun Valley, Stanley and Eastern Oregon for a nominal fee. Included in the price is a one hour consultation with one complimentary cake tasting.

How big are your mini cupcakes?

Here's a photo to give you an idea. That's a quarter in the photo…so they're small.
Do you offer classes?
Yes, we do offer cake and cupcake classes from September through April. The best way to find out about upcoming classes is to send us an email and we will add you to our class list and email you first when new classes are scheduled. You are also encouraged to join our Facebook page to find out about upcoming classes there as well.
We limit the number of participants to 8 for cupcake decorating classes and 6 for cake decorating classes, and they fill up quickly. The cost is $50 per person for cupcake classes and $60 or $65 for cake classes which includes 12 cupcakes or one 6" cake (depending on the class), all tools, and instruction. Classes usually last 2 hours.
